Chalet Etoile is a new build five bedroom traditional style French ski chalet situated in the small Alpine village of St Jean D'Aulps, 6km from the resort of Morzine in the Rhones-Alps region of France. This holiday rental chalet is just a little over an hours drive from Geneva airport in the heart of the Portes du Soleil area which offers the largest international ski area in the world with over 650km of marked runs catering for all levels of skiing. It is just a 10 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in the village centre but benefits from the kind of fantastic views and tranquil setting the French Alps are famous for. This rental accommodation has an outside Hot Tub and all mod cons, and is ideally situated for activity holidays such as skiing, snowboarding and all Alpine winter sports. The Morzine area of the Alps has excellent facilities of all kinds. France at it's best. Self catering for groups of up to 12 people plus infants

Chalet Etoile is a traditional style new build Alpine chalet surrounded by beautiful mountains and magnificent scenery.
The chalet was completed December 2006, and as such along with all furnishings and hot tub is brand new throughout.
It is located in a very peaceful setting just above the village of St Jean D'Aulps on the edge of the small town of Morzine. There is just a short walk into the village with its small shops, bars and restaurants, however it is elevated sufficiently to benefit from fabulous valley views.
ACCOMMODATION
There is an outside hot tub, brand new high specification 'Beachcomber 350', designed for 8-9 people.
The chalet is offered on a self catering basis for up to 10-12 people
Five double bedrooms (2 with double beds, 1 with twin beds, 1 with 2 sets of bunks, 1 with 1 set of bunks)
Large fully equipped fitted kitchen with cooker, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, microwave etc
Underfloor heating
Lounge/dining area with Large TV with SKY, DVD player and all mod cons
Large outdoor covered terrace area
2 x bathrooms, 1 extra toilet

All furnishings and equipment is brand new and includes all mod cons such as large TV with SKY, DVD players, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, wireless broadband etc etc.
The region is one of outstanding natural beauty, and the quiet location is ideal for families with children, or for adults seeking peace and tranquility.
PRICES
From £650 to £2250 per week
· Chalet Etoile is geared for up to 10-12 people, and offered on a self catering basis only, though many local agencies can provide catering if required on ad-hoc basis.
· Inclusive of all Bills. All bedding, towels, and hot tub towels will be provided.
· The week runs Saturday to Saturday, 2:30pm arrival, depart by 09:30am. This does not apply low season when dates can be negotiated.
· A £100 per week cancellation deposit is payable on booking.
· Full payment is due twelve weeks before departure.
· Deposit of £100 per week is also payable with balance, which is returned on confirmation that place was left clean and tidy as per instructions.

St Jean D`Aulps is a village and a family ski resort
at the heart of la Vallée d'Aulps on edge of Morzine. The ski bus that accesses
local ski area (2km away) stops a 2 minute walk from the
Chalet.

majestic Roc d'Enfer. French Alps at their best.
Skiing up to 1800 metres, St Jean has 20 linked ski runs
(4 green,5 blue, 10 red, 1 black) & 14 lifts (1 gondola, 3
chairlifts, 10 dragslifts).
The ski lifts of Morzine are just 10 minutes away giving
access to 650km of skiing at Avoriaz, Chatel and
Switzerland on one side and Les Gets on the other.
Skiing
Saint Jean d'Aulps ski resort is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, with 650kms of slopes the Portes du Soleil is a group of 14 french and swiss ski resorts, and is the biggest ski area in the world. It covers 400 hectares, 206 ski lifts, and 288 slopes (41 green, 109 blue, 110 red and 28 black, 4 snowcross). It also has hundreds of kilometres of freeride areas.
The Saint Jean d'Aulps ski resort is not linked by the slopes to the Portes du Soleil area, so short car or ski bus ride (10 minutes) is required. This means that the local St Jean D'Aulps ski area is relatively quiet, without queues and ideal for families, paticularly those with young children. [Ski bus will be running for winter 2006/20007 (Balad'Aulps Bus, 1€ per ride) and bring you to Montriond, Morzine and les Gets].
St Jean D'Aulps ski area, a 2 minute drive from the Chalet, is called "La Grand Terche" and is served by a regular free ski bus (Stops 200m from the Chalet). La Grand Terche offers excellent intermediate level skiing and magnificent scenery. The area is also linked to the resort of Bellevaux and it's "Domaine Roc d'Enfer", with an impressive 11 km run descending back to "La Grande Terche". There is an 'ESF' ski school which provides lessons for all levels and accepts children from the age of 4. Younger children from 2 months can use the nearby crèche which has a very good reputation.

This is paradise for those liking the more modern forms of snow sports, as there are 2 snowparks and the new "Biotop" (the first 100% ecological winter forest park), a half pipe, a "canyon" slope and a new boarder slope. There are also and 4 “snowcross” where you can practice off-piste pursuits in total safety. This sector is home to the Lindarets village, a hamlet of high mountain farms, which have been turned into restaurants, to the great pleasure of all good-food lovers, and is the gateway to Switzerland."
