Peace and tranquility, in the heart of the Charente-Maritime, between
Saintes and La Rochelle, are amongst the many features of your stay. There are 2
comfortable and stylishly decorated well equipped self-catering Gites, recently
renovated, each sleeping 2, situated in the grounds of a charming Charentais
farmhouse, parts of which are believed to date back to the 1750's. The house is
situated within a small hamlet in the heart of the Charente-Maritime near St
Savinien Sur Charente. In addition Bed & Breakfast rooms are available in
the main house. Each Gite has its own secluded sunny garden with table,
chairs, and barbecue making it an ideal location for enjoying the warm sunny
days and evenings. The picturesque salt water swimming pool is for guests use
and shared with the owners. The Gites each have their own off road parking and
are situated well away from each other. Wi-Fi is available at a nominal
charge.

Living Area has sofa beds, dining area, electric heaters, TV, CD player/DVD/Radio, WIFI Internet Access (nominal charge).

The nearest Boulangerie is just under 2 kilometres away- the nearest supermarket 6 kms and a range of restaurants to suit all pockets from 4 to 6 kms.
The Charente-Maritime is the second sunniest place in France - the grass and foliage are rich green and not brown or wind and sunscorched - the beautiful and verdant Charente-Maritime has the benefit of the warm friendly currents of the gulf stream to keep life a constant pleasure.
We are located to the west of the Deux Serves and Charente in the Charente- Maritime, close to junctions 34 and 35 on the A10, midst sunflowers and the famous Cognac grape vines. It is within easy drive of the beautiful beaches and the smart historic towns of La Rochelle, Royan, and Saintes. The Ile de Re, Ile d'Oleron and Aix are close by. The area is famous for its fresh seafood and other gastronomic pleasures. Only 50 minutes from Cognac renowned for its annual blues and film festivals if not the glorious liquor itself.
