private parking and space for children to play in safety.
The 2 bedroom cottage can accommodate four people, is on one level and is suitable for wheel chairs. (1 small step approx 1")
The cottage has been totally renovated, the lounge, hallway and kitchen have been re-tiled and the bedrooms have laminated wood floors and is fully double glazed, and re-roofed.

LOCATION
Both cottages are in a quiet part of Les Conches and are set in the pine forest of Longeville- sur -mer, perfect for an evenings stroll or safe bike ride, and are just 700mts from the beach. The cottages are set in their own large, secure, fenced grounds with terrace, garden furniture and B.B.Q
There are local shops for your bread and a large supermarket in La Tranche. The 7 k beach has surfing, wind surfing, body boarding and skiing and has been awarded a blue flag. For those of you that don’t want to swim in the sea, La Tranche has just built a large indoor/outdoor swimming pool. Some of our clients have also brought their own boat and there is ample parking in the grounds of the cottages or you may berth at La Tranche for a reasonable rate. There is also bike, quad and motor bike hire nearby and numerous restaurants and shops and Casino. Fishing (Sea, Lake and River) Golf, Tennis and a host of other activities also within easy reach.
Les Conches is in-between La Rochelle (start of the famous Vendee Globe) and Les Sables-d’Olonne and is just 5k from La Tranche sur mer.
With its micro climate and long sandy beaches this part of France is now very popular for all types of holiday makers. Other places to visit on this coast are the Islands of Ile de Re, Noirmoutier, and St Nazaire (where the German wolf packs were based during the war)
For those of you bargain hunters, during the summer months there are plenty of Vide greniers (Attic sales) and music, shows and festivals in the neighbouring resorts. All within easy reach of Les Conches.

The Indian Forest Adventure has marked trails in the forest, as well as 122 different challenges. Suspended on safety harnesses, you are able to climb, swing, dismount and even slide across the forest at a height of 20ft above the ground. There is also an adventure area for toddlers, with themed bouncy castles, a ball park, rock climbing and an inflatable park. This is an excellent day out for both children and adults and is just 15 minutes from our gîtes.
Puy du Fou is where time stands still, and will be an instant hit with children and adults alike. You'll see villages from different eras, gladiators still doing battle and Vikings launching attacks on fortified castles! In the summer, there are 28 evening/night shows with 300 fireworks per show, 2000 digitally-controlled projectors, 1500 computerised fountains, 4500 costumes and many more special effects. There are minstrels in the heart of the woods and master falconers in the meadows.
The gîte is just 35 kilometres drive from the delightful shops and quayside restaurants of La Rochelle. From the port, you can take to the water and visit Ile d'Aix - and even the famous Fort-Boyard. La Rochelle's wonderful Aquarium boasts 10,000 specimens from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the tropics (visit website for further information). With three million litres of water and 64 different aquariums.
The Parc des Floralies (under 10 minutes away) is open all summer. The park has a forest of oak and pine trees which cover seven hectares. During the spring, blooming tulips, narcissi, hyacinths, crocuses and amaryllis all produce the most wonderful scents!

Nearest airports are
La Rochelle 35 km and Nantes 1 hours drive. Poitiers is also accessible by car in 1 hour 15 mins. The driving times from the channel ports are St Malo (3 hours), Caen (4 hours) and Cherbourg (5 hours). Use of a car is advisable.
