Booking
Conditions
1) The property of Ile de Re is offered for
holiday rental subject to confirmation by J F Tondut ("the owners") to the
renter
("the client").
The owner (or local Agency) offers the property as
described in the property details, ("the property") for holiday rental , subject
to
written confirmation, to the renter ("The
Client"). Holiday1 is mandated by the Owner to publicise The
Property on the internet or
through any
other media and to register reservations on their behalf. The letting
contract is between The Client
and The
Owner.
The description of The Property is
given in all good faith, based on the information supplied by The Owner .
However it is the responsibility of The
Client to establish the suitability of The Property for his/her party's needs
and to ask for
any information that he/she
deems relevent prior to booking.
2) To reserve
the property the client must complete the booking form and return it, together
with the initial non-refundable deposit
(£200 per week booked). Following
receipt of the completed booking form and the deposit, the owner, will send a
confirmation
invoice. This is the
formal acceptance of the booking.
3) The balance of the
rental, together with the security deposit (see clause 4) is payable not less
than 12 weeks prior to the
commencement of
the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owner
reserves the right to give notice, in
writing, that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within 12
weeks of the start of the rental period require payment
in full at the time of booking.
4) A
refundable security deposit of 500 EUROS is required in case of, for
example, damage to the property or its contents.
However, sum reserved by this clause shall not limit
Client's liability to the owner. The Owner will account to the
Client for
the security deposit and refund
any balance due within the two weeks after rental
period.
5) Subject to Clauses 2 and 3 above, in event
of a non-insurable cancellation, refunds of balance amounts paid will be made if
the Owner is able to re-let the
Property. Any expenses or losses incurred in doing so will be deducted
from refundable amount
(booking deposit
element is not refundable). The Client is strongly advised to arrange
comprehensive travel insurance policy
(including cancellation cover) and have full cover for party's personal
belongings, public liability etc. Since these are not
covered by the Owners insurance. It is recommended that
all travellers should apply for and carry an EHIC (European
Health Insurance card). This recently replaced
the E111. Apply online:-
https://www.ehic.org.uk/InternetPROD/home.do6).
6) The
rental periods shall commence at 16:00 on the first day and finish at 10:00 on
the last day. The Owner shall not be
obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the client shall
not be entitled to remain in occupation after the
time stated.
7) The maximum number
of people to reside in the property must not exceed the amount advertised unless
the Owner has given
written
permission.
8) The Client agrees to be a considerate
tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy
condition
at the end of the rental
period. the owner reserves the right to make a retention from the security
deposit to cover any damage
or additional
cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable
condition.
9) The client shall report to the Owner,
without delay, any defects or breakdown in equipment's, plant, machinery or
appliance
in the property, or any of the
facilities, so that arrangements for repair or replacement can be made as
soon
as possible.
10) The
Owner shall not be liable to the Client...for the temporary defect or stoppage
in the supply of public services to the
property nor in respect of any equipment, plant,
machinery or appliance in the property, garden, accommodation
.... for the loss, damage or injury which is as a
result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or
other
matters beyond the Owners
control. The Owners liability to the client will not exceed the amount
paid to the Owner for the
rental
period.
11) The client agrees not to act in a way that would
cause disturbance to those resident in the other
dwellings.
12) The client must receive permission from the
owner before bringing pets to the property. Please note that pets must be well
behaved, friendly and kept to the
owners own gite and garden area only. Pets are not allowed in the recreation
area or the
children's play area. It
is the responsibility of the owner to clean up after their pet and to maintain
control of their pet at all times,
respecting other guests privacy.
