Steve and Corinne welcome you to an area of outstanding beauty, where
your comfort is of paramount importance to us.
This beautiful property is steeped in history, this XIXth century farm has undergone major renovation to a very high standard, located in the heart of the Bocage Vendéen in 'Le pays des Deux Lay' in Chantonnay.
La Longere offers spacious accommodation to sleep 6-9 people with views onto open countryside.
Lovely heated swimming pool and games room.
A 2 bedroomed gite, La Bourrine is on the same complex, also Bed and Breakfast rooms.

Cottage 'La Longère' measures 126.60m2 (1,360 sqft) and is on one level. It has all the modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. It has a capacity of 6 persons.
Living space
A small sitting room of 7.62m2 with a convertible settee.
Main sitting / dinning area of 46.53m2, with big bay windows opening onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the fields and undulating hills.
The kitchen
The kitchen of 7.72m2 is fully fitted and comprises a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, an electric hob and oven with extractor fan, microwave oven, toaster, pressure cooker, kettle etc…
2 bedroom
Two bedrooms one of which is a family room sleeping 4 and has an en suite shower room and washbasin opening onto the back of the property and where you will be able to enjoy the views of the adjoining fields and the wood.
Bathroom
A separate toilet and washbasin.
A nice bathroom with vanity unity, toilet and heated towel rail.
Outside
You will have the use of the 9.50m x 4.50m, heated swimming pool.
Next to the pool, the Pigeonnier has a bar, a table-football and a professional pool table, for your enjoyment. We also have a ping-pong table, a game of crocket, boules and pallet.
Pallet is a Vendeen game played on a cast iron plate where copper coins are thrown - very much of the same rule at petanque / boules! Really good fun and all the family can participate.

La Longere sleeps 7 (+2 on convertible)
(A supplement of £55 per week will apply to an additional person, if more than 7 sharing)
All bedding and bath towels are provided and you will find your beds made for your arrival.
Security Deposit 600 Euros - fully refundable if no damage to property and left in a clean and tidy condition.
Water and electricity are an additional extra according to your consumption.
All cleaning agents are provided for washing machine, dishwasher and for the general upkeep of the gîte.
The gîte is to be left in the same state of cleanliness on departure, as it was on arrival. However, we do provide a cleaning service, if you wish to take that option the cost are as listed below.
