Europe's finest Sandy Beaches just 10-15 min walk through the woods or ride along a short cycle track. 13km of sand ideal for swimming & all watersports of all kinds.
Heated swimming pool to rear, South facing, lounge doors open to large covered patio area and paved area round large pool. 10 m x 5 m, heated rectangular pool with R 276 Roman steps set on side and ''filtering panel'' filtration. Underwater lighting, large 50m sq paved area around pool, outside shower, child safety alarm system built in, heat exchanger system for efficient heating to extend season. Typically end of April to end of October pool will be 28 degrees.
Outside decking area and appropriate garden furniture for 11.
4 adult unisex bikes, and 5 children's bikes for range of ages, and a bike trailer are provided and professionally maintained.
Cycle Path behind plot winds through the woods to the Beach (950m), La Tranche town centre (1200m), and village of La Terriere (300m).

150 m sq living area, all of ground floor underfloor heated.
Large (36 m sq) lounge/dining area - large widescreen TV, satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, large library of 150+ DVD's.

LOCATION
Situated on the Atlantic coast in the Vendee, La Tranche sur Mer is one of the loveliest and most unspoilt holiday destinations in France. Situated only a few degrees North of Mediterranean resorts, La Tranche offers the same annual hours of sunshine. The finest beaches in France are easy walking distance and the more adventurous can indulge in wind surfing, surf boarding, sail boarding, and water sports of every description on 13km of soft sandy beaches. La Tranche lies between Sable d'Olonne and La Rochelle and immediately to the West of the delightful Marais area (also known as the Venise Verte, or Green Venice). It is sheltered by the historic island of Ile De Re which protects it from the Atlantic Ocean, giving it excellent safe bathing. The administrative capital of the Vendee, Roche sur Yon is a mere 40km away. The beautiful port of La Rochelle is just 45minutes to the south, and Les Sable d'Olonne a similar distance to the North. Not far to the East lies the delightful medieval city of Fontenay le Comte, and nearby to that the charming villages of Vouvant and Mervent

Flybe, Ryanair and Easyjet all now fly to La Rochelle. Nantes & Poitiers airports are also near enough. Car hire very easy and cheap from airports.
Easy 3.5 hour drive from ferry port of St Malo, 4.5 hours from Caen, and about a 6.5 hour drive from Calais.
