Le Puit
is a lovely 3 bedroom gite located in the rural village of Le Poire Sur
Velluire in the sunny South Vendee. It is a stone built property and has many
original features including beamed ceilings, stone walls, original
fireplace etc. Approximately 10 minutes drive from the nearest town of
Fonteney Le Comte and 20 minutes from Lucon. It is ideally situated in the Du
Marius Nature Reserve.
It has a full sized swimming pool which is fenced off for security and a large garden. Le Puit stands in the same grounds as the 5 bedroomed farmhouse, Maison de Ferme, therefore the swimming pool and grounds are shared with customers in the farmhouse.

Gite - 3 bedrooms
which sleep 6 people.(use of cot on request)
The gite is a cottage style accommodation with an open plan living area containing kitchen/diner which is fully equipped including cooker, microwave, fridgefreezer, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Seating area for relaxation - special feature of traditional open fireplace. Central Heating.
Bedrooms consist of 1 x Double, 1 x Twin room and the 3rd bedroom is a Twin bedroom located on the mezzanine floor.
WC and shower room.
Entertainment - Terrestrial TV, CD system, and board games.
OUTSIDE
Outside both properties is ample parking, BBQ's and garden furniture.
The swimming pool is 10 metres by 5 metres and is set in approx 1 acre of lovely gardens.
Bikes available for use of all guests

LOCATION
The Maison de Ferme is situated in the lovely rural village of Le Poiré-sur-Velluire. The nearest town of Fontenay Le Comte is only 10 minutes away where you will find a variety of shops, restaurants and a supermarket and only 20 minutes from Lucon.
Beautiful beaches are within an easy drive to the fabulous west coast beaches such as La Tranche, Les Sables and La Rochelle Harbour. Other popular attractions such as Pay du Fou and Futuroscope are only an hour away.
Alternatively if you want to totally relax why not stay in the local village which has a mini supermarket. You can cycle to the local bakers to collect your fresh bread and Patisseries (approx 10 minutes away), also cafe/bar and restaurant - or why don't you just put your feet up and relax by the pool with a refreshing drink and cook some succulent food on the barbeque!
Local activities include cycling, fishing, horse riding (a new Equestrian Centre has just opened 5 minutes up the road), swimming, boating, canoeing amongst many others.
Local attractions include Pay Du Fou, Futuroscope, Mervent, La Rochelle, the lovely village of Vouvant, Venice Verte etc.
St Malo - 3 hours drive
Caen - 4 hours drive
Calais - 6.5 hours drive
