Radis is an 18th Century vilage house in the Southern Vendee, which has been
fully modernised and renovated. Situated in the quiet village of St. Cyr Des
Gats, this self catering accommodation sleeps 6/7 in comfort and has a
fenced, private, heated swimming pool and garden with a patio.
The ground floor of the house consists of a large fully equipped kitchen/dining room, incorporating a full sized cooker, microwave dishwasher, washing machine etc. The large lounge has a comfortable double sofa bed. The lounge leads through to the conservatory and downstairs bathroom with high level WC and shower, which with wide doors throughout also makes this accommodation suited for a disabled person or the elderly.
Upstairs are 3 generously sized and tastefully decorated bedrooms, (bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed and bedroom 3 has bunk beds) and the second shower room and WC. There is also a put you up suitable for a child.
The property is fully enclosed with off road parking for several vehicles. A lawned garden with a large patio leads from the conservatory at the rear of the building, down to the pool. There is a free standing charcoal barbeque and patio furniture.

LOCATION
Within the village you will find a small relais restaurant, offering a fair range of French cuisine and a boulangerie (bakery). This quiet village is an ideal location for those who enjoy sight seeing and touring. The town of Fontenay-le-Comte only 15 minutes drive away, boasting Romanesque buildings, a magnificent church and chateau, fine restaurants and river side walks as well as a wide range of shops and supermarkets.
Within easy driving distance of Poitiers, where the world-famous futuroscope park is located - and in the opposite directions is Puy de Fou, the historical park, which is an educational and entertaining day out for the whole family - a real must see.
Close by is Mervent Forest, where you can enjoy horse riding, sailing, canoeing, walks by the lakes, picnics, the zoo and the park Pierre Brune or just relaxing in the beautiful surroundings.
For those wishing to go a bit further afield, green Venice with its' rivers and canals makes this a treat for anglers and site seers alike. The coast is also only 40 minutes drive away, offering picturesque harbours and long sandy beaches with wooded sand dunes.
The old port of La Rochelle is only 40-50 minutres away with its fine shops and boutiques with the beach and the harbour offering boat trips, and a superb selection of fine restaurants. Whilst in La Rochelle it is always worth considering going over the bridge and visiting Ile de Re with its many seafood restaurants and tiny fishing villages.
