Les Garnes is a large 5 bedroomed house on the edge of a peaceful hamlet, ST MARTIN DES FONTAINES.
The property is set in 3/4 acre of garden and has a private HEATED swimming pool.
It is set in the South Vendee and is surrounded by fields of sunflowers, maize and wheat, Les Garnes is only 10 minutes drive from the historic town of FONTENAY-LE-COMTE and MERVENT, an area of forests and lakes. The area is only three hours from the port of St. Malo and close to the West Coast of France:

Accommodation
Les Garnes is ideal for holidaymakers who enjoy day trips to places of interest on and around the Atlantic coast, yet it is just far enough from those main tourist areas to be totally tranquil; the pattern of French rural life soon envelops holidaymakers here.

The house has five large bedrooms:
Double bedroom 1(ground floor)
Double bedroom 2 [ first floor]
Large bedroom 3 ; 4 singles
Double bedroom 4 with en-suite facilities
Bedroom 5; 3 singles [the 2 singles can be put next to one another, just ask us for a king size quilt
plus cots; full size and travel [ can be located to suit needs] + high chairs on request

The fitted kitchen is very well equipped; it has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. A wide archway separates it from the dining area. There is a very large utility room, containing a sink, an automatic washing machine as well as an additional fridge-freezer.
There are two bathrooms, [plus the ensuite], both with washbasin, toilet and shower; one of these being on the ground floor. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.

There is a large pool table room and an adjoining table tennis room indoors.

Outside is a large terrace area, BBQ, private heated swimming pool which is fenced off for security and plenty of garden furniture. Lovely large 3/4 of an acre garden.
The private 10x5m swimming pool is fenced and secluded; it is not shared or overlooked.
This will be HEATED from Easter to the end of October
The sunny three-quarters of an acre garden is enclosed; cars are parked within the gates.
Garden furniture, football goals, boules court and a barbecue are provided

Our season at present runs from early May till October. Changeover day Saturday during peak season

Linen £7 per person per week[ bedding is included]; towels £5 per set
Security deposit will be charged - this will be refunded if no damage to property or breakages

Location
Located in the village of St Martins des Fontaines whic is in the South Vendee. The village itself has a local bar which is 5 minutes walk away and also provides pizzas and simple meals.
L’HERMENAULT is 3 km. away. This village has a supermarket, boulangerie, Post Office, banks, chemist shop (English spoken), doctors and dentist, public swimming pool, tennis courts and sports hall.
The popular supermarkets Le Clerc and Hyper U are located in Fontenay-le-Comte (10 minute drive). Discovering gourmet restaurants, visiting the Chateau and the Saturday market or just walking along the banks of the river Vendee, the ambience of the town is totally French.
There are many places to visit and activites for all ages and preferences - something for everyone.
