Located in the Sunny south Vendee, Les Meuniers is a charming old farmhouse in the village of Pouille with parts of the property dating back over 200 years. It has been carefully restored and retains many original features such as the beautiful beamed ceilings downstairs.
The house comprises four bedrooms, two shower rooms, a large salon with open fire, and a big family kitchen with dining table.
Les Meuniers sits in its own large gardens and has a lovely Heated full sized swimming pool (10metres x 5 metres,1.2 metres deep throughout.), with a security cover. There are also large seating areas and plenty of garden furniture. The garden is fully enclosed and very private. There is plenty to do in the house and gardens such as a full size table football, table tennis table and lots of games for the garden which we hope you will enjoy. WIFI available.

Les Meuniers is a lovely 4 bedroomed farmhouse which has been
restored to a very good standard and is fully equipped throughout. It is
an excellent holiday choice for family holidays and offers lots of home
comforts, together with plenty of character.
The location is great too, located in a village with just a short walk to the boulangerie, restaurant/bar etc. And yet only 45 minutes drive to the beautiful West coast beaches including La Tranche sur mer, L'Aiguillon sur Mer, Les Conches and many others.
ACCOMMODATION
Downstairs is a large family kitchen diner which has lots of character and includes a full sized cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, etc. Washing machine and tumble drier are available . Dining table seats 8.
The large salon has an original open fireplace and plenty of seating. TV with Satellite for English and French programmes, Radio, DVD player, Video, CD Player. WIFI available.
Upstairs there is a large games area with table football and a selections of books, games and toys.
2 x Double bedrooms with kingsize beds, 1 x Twin bedroom and the 4th bedroom has bunk beds.
2 x shower rooms, both with WC and washbasin.
Bed linen is provided but you should bring your own towels and beach towels.
Cot and Highchair available.
This property is completely private and you will have exclusive use of all facilities.
OUTSIDE LEISURE
There is plenty to do in the house and gardens such as a full size table football, table tennis table and lots of games for the garden which we hope you will enjoy.
Private, HEATED swimming pool (10metres x 5 metres,1.2 metres deep throughout.), with a security cover.
The property has a large, secure garden which is fully enclosed and very private, with plenty of places to sit and read a book, find a shady spot and relax in a hammock or play badminton and various ball games on offer.
Large trampoline.
Various places to eat alfresco or simple sit and enjoy a glass of wine.
Barbeque - large steel drum type.
There are also large seating areas and plenty of garden furniture.
Private off road parking.

LOCATION
Les Meuniers is located in a quiet road in the village of Pouille, with only a few other houses around. Traffic is very infrequent.The surronding area is very safe for children, with fields and farm tracks around the village that are good for walking and riding bikes etc.

Located in the South Vendee, Pouille is a small village with 2 very good restaurants (1 is 2 minute walk away and the other is 6 minutes walk)., boulangerie (2 minutes walk) and bar tabac (5 minutes walk). It is a 10 minute drive from the busy market town of Fontenay le Comte with its shops, renaissance buildings and large supermarkets.
Pouille is located close to the Mervent forest with its walking, boating, horse riding, cycling facilities, childrens play park and Zoo. It is also a short drive from the Marais with its extensive canals and waterways.
The beautiful Atlantic beaches of the French West coast are just over half an hours drive away.
The historic city of La Rochelle with its lovely harbour is well worth a visit and is just over half an hours drive.
There are many tourist attractions to suit people of all ages and preferences - also many wine tasting places!!
The village is easy to reach from the main A84 motorway.
La Rochelle Airport 40 minutes drive
St Malo 3 hours drive
Caen 4 hours drive
