Believed to date back to the 13th century, this complete ruin was
purchased in 2004 and has been lovingly restored, retaining all the original
features.
Situated in the small hamlet of Taillefer, Maison de Pierre is
just 3.5km from the pretty Hilltop Market Town of Montaigu de Quercy in
beautiful South West France. Perfectly located for a tranquil, relaxing
holiday yet convenient to all amenities and lots of sports available
nearby.
The accommodation comprises of 2 double bedrooms both with
ensuite. One of the bedrooms has twin beds pushed together so could be used as a
twin if someone preferred it that way. There is also a mezzanine over the salon
with a double bed.
The utility room includes a toilet, wash basin and
washing machine. The salon (lounge) is 30 sq metres with two sofas, log burner
and wonderful old features, all original oak beams. The salon dates back to the
13th century. The kitchen/dining area is also 30 sq metres. It's an american
style kitchen with dining table and chairs for 6 people, but could easily seat
8. Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer and all mod cons.


Relax in the peaceful surroundings of this 8m x 4m pool With a
wrap-around terrace facing south, the pool area is privately situated amongst
shrubs and flowers
Sunbeds, Umbrella's and Tables both in the sun or shade are dotted
around, making this a perfect place for a restful day after visiting the many
places around the region.
Two luxury double bedrooms (or if preferred one of the rooms can
be a twin room) both bedrooms with en suite shower etc. All facilities are
included to help make your stay as relaxing as possible.
Also a Double bed on
the mezannine floor above the Salon.
Well equipped kitchen
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the pool.
There is an abundance of wildlife in around Taillefer. It is not uncommon to see
Deer around the house.
If after a busy days sightseeing, you feel
like staying in, enjoy your meals outside with lovely views.
Typical french
cuisine with local specialities being foie gras, confit de canards, magrets
(duck) cheese,pastries and of course wine from the local
vineyards.

stunning architecture and wonderful views, Lauzerte is also on the route to

Montaigu de Quercy
The bustling market town of Montaigu de Quercy is
situated in the Tarn et Garonne department of South West France. With origins
which date from the 12c century, it's castle having been built by Raymond V of
Toulouse, Montaigu de Quercy is steeped in history. An attractive town with
narrow steeply rising streets and pretty half timbered houses
On Saturday mornings this
lively villiage has a typical french market. Take time to stroll around and try
the locally produced, cheeses, magret, cherries and of course wine.

Moissac
Situated on the north bank of the Tarn River, Moissac
is famous for the Abbey of St Pierre and it's world famous cloisters.
Unfortunately most of the town was destroyed by the flooding in 1930, but
thankfully the Abbey survived and is well worth a visit.
Also on the
ancient pilgrimage route of Santiago di Compostela, Moissac is a bustling and
vibrant town and has a market every Sunday morning.
