in the South Vendee area of France, we offer a beautiful property, recently
updated, that is suitable for families who wish to explore the area and enjoy
plenty of activity as well as relaxation.
Residence Beausejour comfortably sleeps 8 people (10 with sofa bed) and caters fully for families, with cot, toddler bed, high chair, extensive range of DVDs, satellite TV and a games console. The large walled garden houses a swimming pool, table tennis, darts, barbcue, children’s play area and more.

On the ground floor there is direct access tot he walled garden at the rear. This houses a large above ground pool (sometimes shared with owner) with sun loungers.
The garden is set over ½ acre with a children’s play area, seating area and barbecue, as well as a covered terrace with table tennis and various games.
The front of the property has double entrance gates leading onto a large gravel courtyard that is ideal for parking as well as playing boules.
The owners live adjacent to the property and are on hand to answer any questions you have about the house and surrounding area.

"Residence Beausejour" is set in the heart of the village of "Oulmes" which has the usual amenities, bakery, small shop, post office, tabac and bars. The village also boasts a medieval church, childrens park and superb but reasonably priced restaurant and pizzeria (take away on request).

A Security Deposit of £150 is required - this is fully refundable if no breakages or damage to property.
ACTIVITIES
The location of this property means that there is something for everyone. It is situated on a fairly busy road (although this is enclosed so children are safe), and this road links the property to many villages, towns and attractions.
The pretty renaissance town of "Fontenay-le-Comte" is just 15 minutes by car, as is the surrounding forests with Parc Pierre Brune, Zoo, watersports, horse riding and much more.
The cosmopolitan town of "Niort" is only 15 minutes in the opposite direction, with narrow streets, great shopping and many bars, restaurants and cafes. Both towns have large and busy markets.
The beautiful harbour town of "La Rochelle" is 50 minutes by car and the "Futuroscope" theme park 1 hour.
Just a 10 minute drive from "Residence Beausejour" will take you to a large lake with a man-made beach (supervised by lifeguards), waterslides, bar and boats.
The family friendly beaches of the Vendee are within easy reach (45 minutes) and the coastline also boasts some great surf.
The property borders an area known as "Green Venice" which has miles of canals and hidden waterways to explore.
Golf and go-karting are also available nearby.

3 hours from St Malo, 4 hours from Caen, 50 minutes to Poitiers airport, 50 minutes to La Rochelle airport, 1 hour and 10 minutes to Nantes airport and 2 hours to Bordeaux.
