Le Petit Moulin is an architect designed 200 year old barn conversion retaining many original features but with modern conveniences and is located on the border of Deux Sevres/Vendee. The property has been completed to the highest standards.   Supermarkets within 10 minutes drive.

Stage 1 of the Tour de France finishes at Fontenay Le Comte on the 7th July but the route also passes close to our house

A back kitchen is a tradition in France for preparing food, Dishwasher, Fridge freezer, microwave coffee machine and cooker.

Dining area, table and seating for 10.   Plenty of sitting room seating.

A property manager lives 1km away, if any problems.

Outside Leisure

Le Petit Moulin sits in its own garden which is enclosed, gated and fenced private patio for sunbathing.  Large seating area,  with rattan furniture, in the garden. There is also a further lawned area for games including Table Tennis, Badminton, Croquet, Boules and other games which are provided.  Dining table with seating for 10.

The heated swimming pool has a rigid cover with locked doors for child safety.  Pool size:  9 metres plus roman steps x 4 metres wide with a shallow end at 1 metre and deep end 1.7 metres.

Pool house: fridge freezer, sink, shower and WC.
Adequate off road parking also secure area for storing bikes/trailers.

This property is completely private and you will have exclusive use of all facilities.

Star Rating:  5*    We have just returned from spending a few days at Le Petit Moulin in the Vendee. A beautiful restored old barn modernised to the highest standard, everything you could want - a home from home. It is situated in a rural peaceful location yet near to lots of facilities. Cannot recommend this enough.        October 2017

Star Rating:   5*   This is a really great property; private and quiet.

The decor and facilities are all kept at an extremely high standard. Five star is an overused term but is appropriate here.

There is plenty of countryside and animals around to amuse you. It is as safe and secure and you can relax.

The village bar is a ten minute walk and well worth an evening. For other things you will need a car.

Just take yourself and a few friends or even the family - stop off at the Super-U to stock up and relax. The only thing you will need is a swimming costume and Raybans.     October 2017

 

Le Petit Moulin is a spacious house with beautiful large open fire place. Nice sized bedroom with good ensuite shower room and toilet.

Well maintained garden with lots of room to play for children. Nice swimming pool.

Lots of privacy.  We would definitely recommend this property.   September 2017

The property is located 1km from the village La Chapelle aux Lys  which has a bar/snack just 5 mins walk away.

L'Absie 7kms away and has supermarket/Boulangerie/Banks cafes Bars etc.

Vendee Beaches  -  1 Hour + by car (La Tranche sur Mer ,le Sables d’Olonne etc)

Lakeside beaches - approx 15 minutes drive

Forest of Adventure - Just 10 minutes by car 20 mins by bike plenty of exciting experiences for all ages including zip wires.
Go Cart Racing Opposite the Forest of Adventure - excellent track.
Mervant forest  -  10 km by car or bike 5000 hectares of forest with 200 km of footpaths.

Mervant zoo -  very popular with families.
Mervent - Hire sailing boats, canoes, kayaks and horse riding. Restaurants, Bars and Cafes
Vouvant  -  an ancient village atop a hill, ramparts and Donjon, restaurants and bars. Famous for local artists many galleries open at certain times during the summer.

Marais Pointevin called Venise Vert a series of beautiful lush green canals – hire guided punts or punt yourself!
Puy do Fou 35 min drive spectacular theme park with night time cinescenie,  Tickets start selling early January!
Futuroscope 1 and half hours drive towards Poitiers, amusement park. 

Xantan Chassenon - lakeside beach which is very popular, has giant tubular slides into the lake, children's play area, water sports, picnic areas etc.  Lifeguards are present.

Fishing - Pescalis lakes are only 7km away, this is the largest fishing lakes in Europe and has some lovely walks, picnic area etc
